My T400 flashes about a second after i open my lid. I think i have all the video card drivers installed for my radion 3470. The funny thing is that it only does it in vista and doesn't flash when i'm logged out. It must be program thing... Anyone have a fix for this?

You mean when you exit standby/sleep? My X200 screen flashes numerous times as well. Especially evident when changing resolution for some games it'll flashes 6 or 7 times. I'm assuming it's normal.

no from nothing. I set my lid closed to nothing and yet when i open it it flashes. The weird thing is it sometimes doesn't do it. Sometimes the resolution even changes when i open the lid. This is all NOT coming out of sleep/standby.

Aside from possibly being hardware, you could try to uninstall and reinstall the video driver and see what that does.

Ok I have found that it only flashes when I'm using my dedicated radeon 3470. Integrated graphics does not have the flashing problem....

Yeah, I noticed that too. Its most likely the new driver. Didnt have this problem with the older one.
