This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     T400 hangs on shut down.

    hey all. my T400 hangs on shut down when i have a laptop cooler connected. this has something to do with the usb obviously, but i haven't figured it out yet.

    it has no problems going to sleep or hibernating. when i shut down with the laptop cooler connected it gets to "windows is shutting down" and just hangs there... until i force it to shut it down by holding the power button.

    anyone else ran into this problem? or better yet, has anyone solved this problem?
