    T400 harddrive noise

    how come my T400 is experiencing a weird harddrive spinning/scratching noise? can they do anything about this?

    did this start recently? try to run the hdd test from bios and see whether it can detect any error.

    If you have just started experiencing this, then you should call Lenovo and ask whether a hdd exchange is possible (provided that you are under warranty).
