I'd like to know if the advanced docking station for the T400 is noisy?

I'm thinking about buying a T400 because lots of people say it's really silent. But I would use it 95% of the time docked. If the laptop is noisy when docked, I won't be really happy!

    Thanks in advance!

My R60 was silent when docked, but I only had the Mini dock and I usually run in low power mode.

Thanks ZaZ. But I would like some info for the T400. I hope it's as quite as your R60!

I'll have to throw in my vote with Zaz, the t61p was silent when connected in its cradle.

I don't think you will have an issue because of the new generation of processors and chipset that are in the new thinkpads. It also depends on your power setting. If you have it on full power you might have very low fan noise. My x200 when docked has the fan running but it is very quiet.
