I have the ATT WWAN card in my T400, but whenever I try to connect via the access manager or use the GPS app the system reports that the sim card is not inserted. Am I supposed to pull that plastic tab out of the sim card slot? I didn't think so, because it looks like that is wha tis used to remove the card. Anyone have any problems with this?

You are right, plastic tag is to help pull the sim out. Try a different sim card and see if that works. Also, is the sim properly activated? you can check this by putting in your phone. Another thing, do you have a data plan activated on it?

    I'm having this problem too.

It used to work fine, now it stopped recognizing SIM. It says SIM not inserted, even when one is in there.

I've tried different SIMs, same result.

This has nothing to do with whether the sim is activated or not. The GPS app requires that a sim be in place, but it doesn't have to be activated. Either way, I did test with the stock (unactivated) sim, and one from my BB. Neither could be read.

Just to update this thread...I had to send my laptop in for repair for another issue, but had them look at this as well. I am assuming that they are going to change the sim card reader.

Yikes...I hope that's not the case with mine. Sending it in for repair would be a pain.
