Urgh...they keyboard issues have been fixed. A simple forum search would have digged that up. Most 14.1'' screens are below par anyway, its all a luck of draw, you can't specify what you are getting.

I just received a t400 with wxga+ LED display that was built on 5/4/09 (may 5th). The display is Samsung (42T0503) and the keyboard is the dreaded weight reduced variety. It does flex a bit on the left side (pretty much the same as my Asus G1), but I have a t60 keyboard ready to be installed. To be honest the flex is really not that bad and is noticible only if i bang on the keys rather hard. I dont know if i will even bother opening it up to swap out the keyboards. My old t400 had a t60 keyboard from the start, but really the amount of flex is very similar. I actually like the key action on the new one more, as it requires much lighter touch to type.

As for the panel, so far i dont have the OS installed on the computer, but in DOS and windows installer it looks almost identical to my old t400 with LG LED panel. Overall I think it seems to be better built than my old t400 (build date 12/08). The hinges feel more solid from the start and the lid is perfectly alligned (old one was a mm or so off). The battery also fits much more snug than on my old one, so there is much less wobbling going on there.
