has anyone called in lenovo and asked about the T400 keyboard flex?
do they always give you a spare T61 keyboard to compensate for it?

Do a search. There has been much discussion about lenovo's actions after the initial flex issue. In lenovo's eyes the problem is largely fixed with the new bracing that is installed in the chassis.
