Has anyone ordered a T400 in 2009 with problems in keyboard flexing?

The lenovo team decided to bring back the older firmer keyboards so even if you do get a flexy keyboard, you can ask to replace it (theres a huge thread at the lenovo boards)

I would like to ask you, if there is a way, how to ensure I will get T400 with the solid keyboard, or you have to buy the laptop first, check the keyboard and then apply for replacement? In the second case, how finance/time-consuming is this procedure? What do I have to do to buy new T400 with the solid keybord?
    Thanks

I am 99% sure that all new T400/T500's ship with the old keyboards that do nt have flex.

That said, I have the new keyboard and have practically zero flex aside from the 4 keys around the trackpoint, and they only move about half a millimeter.

First, test the keyboard to see if you like it. Don't assume that because you have the "new" model that you should automatically opt for the old style. There seems to be an issue with tolerance levels on the new Thinkpads which I believe cause the flexy keyboard. While the old keyboards fix this, some new ones didn't have this issue either.

Financially and time wise, the process is a breeze. If you are unhappy, send a PM to Mark_Lenovo at the lenovo forums with the information he requests. Once he receives enough requests he will order them and they will ship overnight. This process will cost you nothing.
