I read that lenovo improved the quality of keyboards provided in thinkpads. I just received my T400 and I am experiencing major flexes.
I will call lenovo and try to get a replacement for the keyboard, I am sure many people tried this but don’t know if they succeeded in getting it.
At the same time I am searching for NMB keyboard and there is the NMB FRU 42T3143 keyboard. if you have this keyboard can you please comment on its quality.

Goto the sticky at the top of this forum and post a message to Mark_Lenovo for keyboard replacement. I've heard tech support doesn't distinguish between the two keyboard designs.

That's unfortunate. Can you confirm the part number you have on your new t400?
