How much power is your T400 consuming when using integrated graphics? With Win 7 64-bit, I can't get it to idle less than 10.5W with wireless on. This is with an LED screen (~35% brightness) and everything at max power savings.

Iirc, it got down to 8.5-9.5 watts running 32bit win 7.

Are any of you getting lower power consumption than this on Win 7?

nope, you would get even slightly lower power usage with Vista or XP. I don't know there is some win 7 quirks with power use.

Is there a power consumption difference between 32bit and 64bit?

did not check personally, but according to my friend there is a difference of 2 to 3 watts, between the Win 7 Pro 32 bit and Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. i am not sure whether that is due to the edition difference or the 32 bit vs 64 bit os difference.

    2-3W is a lot!
