Well I'm glad I ordered, everything looks good to me. Shame about the Thinklight, maybe Kev just got a bum unit.

Well this confirms it. The new batteries for the Tx00/Wx00 series will not work w/ the older R6x/T6x series. I was so excited about the fact that i could have extended my battery life.

I think DVI is available through the Advanced docks such as the Advanced Mini Dock.

I think the new hardware has more to do with the great battery life than the new batteries alone.

Yeah DVI has always been available through the mini dock, but its not really the same thing. You have to pay an extra $150 and its not mobile. They should have added a HDMI port like the SL series. That way it would be easy to connect to a TV or monitor.

My guess is for business portability (which really is the primary market target for these systems) they went with the least common denominator -- VGA. That will adequately drive just about any projector you'll find in conference rooms across the globe. DVI or HDMI would be more limited. I guess if you really need it, you can go with the T500 which has displayport.

I was looking online to see if any other reviews had come out yet, and I came across http://www.mybestlaptop.org... they seem to have taken your review without giving any credit. Just letting you know Kevin.

Watch the language, everybody. Don't try to bypass the censor. This is a warning, next one seen gets an infraction.

    Thank you.
