Hey all. Well, I have been getting into my T400 more and more... I wish I could just take a couple of days to just spend in the machine, learning it...

But, I cloned and swapped my hard drive. I noticed that the gap between screen and base is wider in the middle that it is near the hinges. This is when the machine is closed. When I look at the cover when close, I can see that the screen is bowed slightly with the crest around the middle and low points at the edges of the machine (left and right edges if looking from the front latch area.

Anyone else notice this? I am not looking for issues, but I couldn't help but notice.

Yes my screen has more gap on the left side near hinge (under start menu) than center or right

From what I have read it is actually supposed to be like that. It is an intentional design feature. There was an article on it on the Lenovo blogs somewhere, can't find a link at the moment.

    @ Nonny and FireSnake:
Thanks for clarifying the bow in the screen. I would have never thought of bridge engineering coming into play is some form in my laptop design. But, as I read it, I thought... yeah, that makes sense.
