My order shipped today (06-06-09). About how long should I expect shipping to take?

I placed the order on 05/31 and at that time the estimated ship date was 06/18. However, I received notice today that it had shipped on 06/06 and my order status page now shows shipped on 06/06.

Maybe I should have rephrased the question and "Shipment tracking available the morning after shipment." so will not be available until tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes from shipped to arrival on the doorstep in Texas? Days? Week+? I'm assuming that shipped means from China??

This is my first Lenovo so I don't know what to expect.

 

I would say days, I recall it being really quick when I got mine

i got an email before for delivery, and 2 days later from that I got a UPS tracking number. From then it was smooth sail UPS style to my doorsteps in 1 extra day. Depends on your location. Of course that delivery notice from the point of ordering was like much longer but thats another story.

first time buyer from lenovo. It is unbelievable. I ordered on the 31st of may also. And they gave me an estimated shipping date of 26th. how did you guys manage to get it that quick.

 

I ordered mine yesterday 6-5 and it shows a ship date of 6-12. I'm in CA, where do these laptops usually come from, do they have a depot here in the USA or do they come from China?

 

I would imagine that configuration would impact build/ship date.

 

yes but my configuration is the same as yours except for the processor. and im sure they dont run out of processors as often. anyway it looks like on the notes that the dvd drive is the bottle neck cause it has a note now saying it can delay you 4 weeks, but thats not what it says when i ordered and clearly you have the same dvd rom also, so i find it quite unbelievable in terms of delivery.

The 4 week delay listed is for the Blu-ray not DVD.

 

for both.

dvd recordable it says 3-4 weeks.

blu ray it says more than 4 weeks.

i got the dvd recordable and so do you it appears

 

I can't find the delay listed for the DVD. I wonder if we ordered from a different area/page???

 

Mine took 8 days, including a weekend, to get to my doorstep from the Guangdong province in China (southern China).

you think thats bad, i ordered on the 21st of may, and i got an estimated ship date of 6/2, and it changed to 6/26.

still here waiting...

when i ordered the only thing that was delaying it was the graphics, but his are the same as mine, so i dont know what could be holding it back.

It looks like you loaded it up pretty nicely! You'll have enough processing power to chew through just about anything and plenty of space to store it all. I see you went with the Visa discount as well. Isn't it a little strange how just having a Visa card gives you a better discount than being a contractor?

I'm a little surprised that you didn't go with the 9-cell battery, though. Maybe that's just my inner artiste speaking. I figure if you're going to go with a battery that sticks out of your laptop's rear end, you may as well forget about it looking good and just get the biggest one

 

my order just shipped! i got the confirmation email!
i ordered it a few days ago. June 2 to be exact and I got the shipping confirmation today June 9.
I'm very impressed because this is actually the 2nd attempt order a t400. The previous attempt I waited more than 1 month and ended up cancelling the order.
I ordered a T400 w/ WXGA+ LED.

Wow. I got my shipment email today too. Thats not too bad then. It should hopefully arrive within their 10 day shipping agreement.

Got a little boiling after seeing people getting theirs before me yet on the same day order and the same machine.

In total, mine took about a week to go from shipped on Asia to on my door step in California.

 

My tracking still shows the 6th so I guess it has not arrived in the US yet or has not been scanned since arrival. I would imagine that it will take slightly longer to get to Texas and then down to Austin.

Long wait but more then worth it.

 

Eight days, so with mine traveling over two weekends instead of one I'll guess about 10 days or about the 16th. Still a lot shorter trip than it used to take tea by ship...

 

Mine was delayed twice by customs, once in Hong Kong and again in lousiville KY.

 

Well good luck with it, i got shipping confirmation on wednesday afternoon, and right now its been in Louisville for over a day and hasnt moved. Hopefully it isnt lost. I will go berserk if that happens.

so its been about 5 days since getting the email, doubt itll get here tomorrow. Just pray and hope urs gets delivered without a hitch i've seen people receive their laptops pretty much overnight China>Alaska>Kentucky>Delivered within 24-36 hours if you dont get it within 2 days prepare to wait

 

Just out of curiosity, which panels did you guys get and how do the CCFL panels currently used by lenovo compared to other laptops?

 

I ordered friday June 5th. I just got the email today June 8th that mine is shipping That was fast. I'm in CA I wonder if I'll get it by friday

I'm not sure where in the US that means - no mention of Anchorage...

Edit: I ordered mine 06/02 evening. It shipped 06/06. I chose wxga+ ccfl screen.

 

mine is still stuck in kentucky for some reason
i fear for the worse.......not an import scan.......not withheld by customs.....just arrived in kentucky sunday morning and nothing since.........

 

Wow, I just checked UPS again and it now shows a location of DFW with a scheduled delivery of 06/09! It must have entered US customs at DFW.

Maybe, but I have found inconsistency with UPS tracking. I've had packages disappear with no updates then suddenly arrive for delivery. Of course I've also watched them bounce all over the US when put on the wrong truck. Best of luck...

 

well its very odd urs is at DFW because they always go through kentucky....i wonder if theyre having problems in kentucky and are rerouting to DFW and mine is just stuck there

It stills seems a little quick from DFW to delivery tomorrow with an 8:06 pm "Origin Scan" in Dallas. We shall see. But it still shows a delivery tomorrow.

Do all Lenovos go through Kentucky??? I would think they would go through the closest UPS customs hub.

 

well either way ill be crying and moping tomorrow about the possible loss of my laptop and having to deal with lenovo and UPS over a lost package. ENJOY P.S. no updates on mine its just lost in the UPS blackhole


by the way runner ima order the Samsung 320gb with FDE so if ppl steal my laptop the computer and HD will be bricked!!! (if/when it gets here)

 

Wow I checked my tracking number today and they sent it via Ups 3 day. I get mine thursday. So it took less than a week to get mine from the time I ordered it, nice.........

 

mine is still in the UPS black hole they say its held up in custom for 3 days and might be delivered tomorrow pending release, but i think its just lost.....LIARS

well if you guys finally get yours shipped out, do hope that lenovo doesnt decide to skimp on the paper work and get held up in customs for several days. Mine should ship tomorrow (a BIG IF)

 

What I don't understand is, mine came from the USA. Mine was not built in China it seems. Or they had some in stock here in the USA already with what I wanted...
