    T400 shipping how long it takes

    I just ordered a T400 cto. Shipping estimate is 12/26.
    I heard that it takes Lenovo a long time to ship an order, is this true?
    can I expected before this date?

    Mine arrived two days ago. It took 2 weeks to arrive at Vancouver.

    It depends on the components used. If it's an average system, then, assuming the parts are in stock, it should ship within 2 weeks. If it's a very obvious system, they may have it on the shelf and it'll ship earlier.

    Once shipped, it depends on your shipping method. I had 2-day UPS and it arrived in 2 business days as expected. Post your system specs and we may be able to guestimate your actual ship date.

    I am not sure if my system is considered average or not. I ordered the following:
    Intel P8600 processor
    WXGA+ LED with Camera
    Ati graphics
    2gb RAM (will upgrade to 4gb)
    80gb had disk (I will upgrade upon reception)
    Bluetooth
    6 cell battery

    Hopefully it will not take long to build and ship.
    btw I chose free shipping

    I guess in most cases shipping is earlier than the estimated date you get.

    Mine arrived after 3 weeks. This long shipping time might result from the date I built my T400 which was very close to the date this new ThinkPad series was rolled out.

    Considering your specs, apart from the HDD which is quite small, it is a typical system.

    Hope you will receive your machine after at most 2 weeks. Good luck! :D
