Hi all,
I have this strange issue with my new Lenovo T400. After suspending it, if I plug in an external power supply, or dock it to a docking station (which is connected to a power supply), then in ~20% of the attempts the notebook would fail to wake up.
It shows initial signs of waking up (I can hear the hard-drive turning on, and sometimes the CPU fan), but the "moon" indication remains ON and the display remains shut. When getting to this scenario, the only way out is hard power down.
In the remaining ~80% of the cases, the notebook would automatically wake up with no issues.
I'm pretty sure it's related to the fact that the notebook tries to automatically wake up once it "senses" the external power supply. I could not find any BIOS setting that can disable this feature.
Any ideas ??
Thanks a bunch,
Oded

I was wondering if other T400 owners also face such issues from time to time?

To those who might ever face a similar issue, here's an update:
I was able to get my T400 notebook replaced to a brand new one by the vendor (allowing me to keep my old hard-drive).
Strangely (or not?!) the new T400 does NOT automatically wake up once it's connected to an external power supply (when it's in suspend mode). This practically resolved the issue I was having
T400 sometimes fails to wake up from suspend once power is connected
