    probably the x200 with SSD is more quiet

    Sorry, I should have qualified it. I'm looking for 13"-15" with a fan and a full regular 2.5" hard drive, a discrete gpu, etc...

    My vote thus far would be the macbook pro or thinkpads t42 (my last experience with one until it was stolen).
