Just wanted to make sure. But all T400 screens are Matte and not glossy correct?
-
yes

Correct, only the SL-series and X-series tablet have optional glossy screens.
-
The tablet has a glossy screen? Which one?
@erik - is yours glossy? -
I was under the impression that the X200t with the "WXGA Sunlight Readable with Wacom LED Backlit" screen had a glossy anti-glare coating. That's what Kevin's review here says.
-
mine is matte. kevin's review shows a model with an EMT panel next to a 7450-69U with an outdoor panel. the outdoor panels are definitely the glossiest of the tablets.
basically the only thinkpads with glossy screens are the SL series and the tablet with outdoor panel. the rest are matte. -
I learn something every day!
-
Don't they have an anti-reflective coating on the glossy screen?
-
Yep. Doesn't prevent fingerprints from collecting, unfortunately.
-
they have multiple AR coatings, in fact. but, just like on camera lenses, AR coatings aren't synonymous with matte finishes. each layer is glossy and transmits light, yet internal reflections and external glare are minimized by these coatings.
T400's are all Matte screens right?
