Ok so I spend probably 95% of my laptop time with it plugged in.

But for the other 5% I am on a plane west coast to east coast.

Does anyone have any pics of a side by side of the T400 / 500 with the diff batteries?

Does the larger battery effect the usability on a JetBlue type coach tray table?

Arg... trying to choose 500 vs 400 sucks. I've decided the first to get some sort of update is what I go with.

I was unable to use my W500 and nine cell battery on the traytable when flying Northwest (one plane was an Airbuss 300 I think), but I was ok on my lap. A little cramped though. I think it's the size of the computer above anything that made the whole thing awkward.

Here's a thread over on the ThinkPad forums with pictures http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/...s&thread.id=393&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

Note the 9 cell for the t500 sticks out basically the same as the 6 cell for the t400
