Hello everyone
I am quite desperate as I am not able to fix my issues I have with windows XP.
Any help is very much appreciated.
My laptop:
Lenovo t400 (2767-AK3)
4 GB RAM
T9400
My OS/BIOS:
- SATA is on compatibility
- Windows XP Pro (32 bit)
My Problem:
I installed the thinvantage system update software that should download all the neccessary drivers and all.
However, there are some hardware parts not being recognized by Windows.
One of them is the usb root hub which has a yellow sign (with exclamation mark in it) in the hardware manager of windows.
That hardware manager also claims that three basic parts are not recognized (as well as the modem for HD audio).
When I plug in a usb mouse or stick it is NOT recognized and I can not use it.
Now, I installed the lastest BIOS offered by Thinkvatange System Update and nearly all of the software (and surely all drivers).
The error message (for the usb root hub) is error code 39 and claims that driver can not be loaded (becaust it is defectiv or non-existant). The original language is german, so I will not bother you with the exact text and hope I translated it correctly.
Anyone an idea how I can make USB work for me?
Anyone have the same issues?
Thank you very much for all replies.
Cheers
