With my T61p, I couldn't use the advanced dock with 2 external + the built-in monitor.

With my T60, i could (yes, i downgraded to do so, even though the machine periodically overheats in the doc).

Will the T400 support the T60 monitor set-up with the X1400 card in the dock? Or am I about to be back in trouble with displays when the T400 arrives?

BTW - I'm using XP and not Vista or 7....

    Thanks!

    J

if you want the third monitor support it is easier to get the Lenovo usb2dvi converter.

I've never heard of the converter. What is it? Sounds exciting!

Right now, I can do 1920x1200 ( think that's it... definitely 19xx) on my 26" external. The 22" does 16xx x something-or-other. And the stock 14" is just fine. But I like this set-up quite a bit. I guess i'll find out when the T400 shows up next week (or so).

it is a display adapter connected through usb port on your laptop, it supports dvi at the resolution of WUXGA and also vga through an adapter.
