So I have a T400 with switchable graphics Intel/ATI HD3470, and I am running Windows 7 64. My most recent installation of Windows 7 was in December, and only now have I had a need for the discrete graphics card. So I switched over to the discrete using power manager, and the graphics card works fine, but I cannot get Catalyst Control Center to load. This is kind of inconvenient since I would like to change the monitor setting such that it doesn't stretch a 4:3 resolution to the widescreen.
If I right click the desktop and select Catalyst Control Center, the mouse icon turns into pointer with processing in the background for a few seconds, and then returns to normal. There also is no icon in the taskbar. I've reinstalled the drivers from lenovo a few times, and as far as I know, I don't see anything in the system log that indicates an error, although perhaps I was looking in the wrong place there.
I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and if there are any solutions.

I remember I had a similar problem, so I had to re-install the ATI driver without the CCC.
I was still able to do switchable graphics from the power menu. -
The issue is not that I don't have switchable graphics, it's that the catalyst control center doesn't start when I try to load it.

Exactly.
I couldn't load the CCC either, I think I searched on google or somewhere and it turns out it was some sort of compatibility error.
Try re-installing the drivers/CCC
