I recently received my T400 back from Lenovo to have the cracked bottom replaced, and a new keyboard put in it. I got it back, everything looks fine, but when I type on the left side of the computer, there is a buzzing/rattle sound the seems to come from the plastic spaceholder above the card reader. When I remove the holder, the sound stops. I also took it apart and removed the keyboard to see if anything was wrong, but it did not appear so. Aside from not permanently removing the slot spaceholder, anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

put some sticky tape on the slot spaceholder thingy.

I may give that a shot. I just find it odd it only started happening after getting it back from Lenovo.

Reseat the palm rest making sure the front edge is flush. Also did you put the screws in the right slots and not strip one of the holes causing the casing to be basically not tight?

I'll take a look again tonight, but all the screws are right, tight enough, and not too tight (only five of them). Everything feels right, so it does seem as though it's just the plastic holder, so if I can't find anything else, I'll put some tape on it or something (I never have a need to remove it).
