    T400: besides the battery gadget, any other way to switch the graphics card

    It would be better if I can remove the battery gadget from the taskbar. To me its only use seems to be switching the graphics card.

    Outside of the BIOS, not that I know of. Shame though—there really should be an AUTOMATIC way of switching to the integrated card when on battery and to the discrete card when not. This manual stuff is somewhat lame—computers are for automating things and this should not be difficult to do.
