    Yo. I am trying to install the intel AMTSOL driver. I have installed the AMT driver;

    Local Manageability Service and Serial Over LAN (Intel AMT 4.0) driver for Windows Vista, XP - ThinkPad R400, R500, T400, T500, W500, W700, X200 and X301

    Then there is still a PCI device uninstalled,

    When I try to install the AMTSOL driver it says;

    The computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
    setup will exit.

    The only reason I am even bothering with this driver is because it tries to install every time windows boots up (windows has found new hardware). Annoying. Even when I disable it, it keeps asking me about installing it every time I boot. Ugh. Any ideas?

    What are the minimum requirements for the AMTSOL driver? eek..

    hey, i ended up installing a driver for something else- 'intel PCI to PCMCIA bridge.' then i disabled it. this stopped the computer from bugging me about the driver every time i booted. not a real solution, but an acceptable workaround.

    Hi, Thanks for your info. I re-instralled xp and still got the error message. Somehow the unknown device in the device manager is gone :).
