    Hi friends,

I just got T400 with windows vista business ATI graphics card.

I had put it to sleep and after about 20 minutes tried to start and it just fails start.

Any pointers will help, it is frustrating. The power on indicator is turned on, screen remains blank. I get no password screen etc and no think pad screen etc.

Even startup interrupts do not work.

    Thanks in advance...

    In pain.

Force the notebook off by holding the power button.

Vista and sleep do not do very well, and I'm tired of it myself.

    It did power it down.

Made sure after power down to remove battery and insert the battery again.

Nothing seems to get this machine boot. Before 15 minutes it was nice and a joy to work with.....

Help....I do not want to send to service...

This is what happend to me. Hopefully you can recover with the ThinkVantage button and recover the original image. Or, boot into safe mode and undo some recent changes? Maybe a new version of a bad driver got on there recently or something.

Sleep works better with Vista that any other OS I’ve used. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

How do you boot T400 in safe mode?

F1/F11/ThinkVantage do not seem to work?

Note: normal boot is not occuring.

Try adjusting your BIOS to default settings...I think your Power saving software is conflicting with your hardware settings.....pst back results

    Hi LGt400,

Can you please tell me how to adjust the BIOS settings?

I am unable to reach BIOS, is there a key combination other than F1/F11/Thinkvantage or their combination that can get me to the settings.

Thanks for the ray of hope to not send it to service.

    Regards,
    StillInPain.
