with a 9 cell set on energy star, the power manager battery icon shows I have about 7-8 hours of battery when idling, 5-6 when watching videos etc. However, the regular battery icon in the taskbar next to the internet connection icon shows 9-10 hours. Which one is the true battery life left? Because often power manager would show 5 hours while the other would show 7.5 hours, which is a huge difference.

Generally, I would say I've found Power Manager to be more accurate than Window's built-in meter.
