    Hi there,

Would the T400s with the bay battery get as good if not better battery life than the 13" macbook pro? The mbp is rated at 10 hours, and it has a 63 wH battery. The T400s has a 45 wH battery + 29 wH for a total of 74 wH.

By my count, both computers would weigh about 4.5 lbs. Anyone care to hazard a guess? I am not sure if the mac os is THAT much better than windows 7 at conserving battery life these days.

Does the MBP actually get 10hrs...that seems like an unrealistic estimate. Remember though that the ultrabay battery isn't really ideal because it discharges the ultrabay battery first then does the 'normal' one. This will kill the life of the ultrabay battery (unless you just carry it around and pop it in when you need it or something to make it switch over.

10 hrs is quoted for the updated version, which is under idealized condition, 5 to 7 hrs is more typical.

T400s i get around 5 to 6 hrs on average.
