When enabling the automatic optional drive power off option in the Power Manager, I'm seeing the power consumption of the notebook increase by ~1W. I'm running the latest drivers and software versions.

Has anyone else had the same experience with the feature or know how to solve this?

I'm running Windows Vista with PM 3.05. Also, I can hear the optical drive powering down and the device disappearing from windows.
