This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I've purchased 4 new IBM t41 within the past couple of months. We've already had to send two back for systemboard replacements. I do not believe we will be purchasing any more due the the issues we've experienced with these 4.

    I'd say 50% success rate is terrible and would do the same in your shoes, I have two IBM T40 machines and both have worked fine so far...just thought i'd give a different experience with IBM here [ :)]
