Hi, I'm trying to create Recovery CDs from the hidden partition that came with the original hard drive.

I've only managed to make a copy of the original hard drive using Acronis onto a new hard drive but doing so doesn't allow you to make a factory install with the new hard drive's hidden partition.

    Any ideas appreciated! Thanks!

If you have Rescue & Recovery installed, you can use that to create recovery discs.

Can I use Rescue and Recovery with the new hard disk? Or do I have to use the original hard disk to make the Recovery CDs?

You need to use the hard disk that has the hidden partition. R&R will create discs from that partition.
