    Hi folks,

New T410, Windows 7, dock 3, external hi res monitor, Nvidia graphics.

If I boot docked or undocked, color and resolution and icon position is perfect in either docked or undocked. However, if I boot docked, then undock or vice-versa, resolution, monitor color settings and sometimes icon position are not right.

I have tried sleeping before undocking or docking and not getting the results I would like which is to have the computer recognize the dock state and switch resolutions and custom color settings automatically.

    Anything I am missing?

    Thanks.

Good questions. Let's see if I can answer inline:

Native res on both LCD and external.

Thanks. I have a T410 on order so I was wondering what I can expect.

I have the W510 with the same dock. The only issue I've seen is that when I switch to another machine on my KVM switch, the external LCD connected via DVI goes off and it should not. The KVM shared monitor is connected via the VGA port on the dock.

Looks like I can expect some "fun" when the T410 arrives.

While it doesn't help your situation, with the integrated graphics only T410, the dock works perfectly. I don't know if that points to the nvidia drivers more than anything, but as suggested, I would ensure the latest BIOS/drivers are installed.
