I was at my local store here in town and happen to find a T410 that I could get my hands on. I have been looking high and low to find their buisness models on display but never could. This machine is solid! This machine is $899.99 and I'm curious if I should look into getting this or going with a T420?

I guess what I want to know is if I will gain anything from going to a T420 or loose anything? I know I can get a brand new T420 for roughly the same cost with some stripped out items. I love the 16:10 but how different is the battery life and screen? Is 1280x800 good or bad on this size notebook vs the 1440x900 which I cant get?
Also, how does the weight and thickness compare to the T420?
Please help me out as Im only in town until tomorrow afternoon and if its worth getting, Ill pick it up!
Thanks,
-
Wayyyyyyyyyyy too expensive. You can get a T420 for that price.

If you are in the US, that is much more expensive than a T410 with those specs is worth. With the battery life and other miscellaneous improvements in the T420, I would highly suggest that you spend the same money on the latter.

You can get a T420 for that price. Heck, you can get a T410 for cheaper. Plus, that 1440x900 screen is really nice to have, and I wouldn't drop that much money on a T410 without that upgrade unless you need the 1280x800 screen for eyesight reasons.
The 1280x800 display only served two purposes: to provide a lower DPI option for people with poorer eyesight, and to help lower the base price of the laptop by $30 so it looks more affordable.
Go check the Lenovo Outlet. I just stumbled upon a T410s for $834. I've also stumbled upon a lot of T410 laptops that are cheaper and have better specs (including the WXGA+ screen)
