I'm considering the purchase of a T410 with the nVidia graphics solution. However, Lenovo's website contradicts itself regarding the graphics RAM. On the configure to order page it specifies 256MB, but on the specs page it shows 512. Which is correct. Also, is there a docking solution for the T410 that gives legacy port support? I still need to use some legacy peripherals with my notebook.

The T410 is limited to the series 3 docks, which don't have legacy ports. Depending on the type of legacy port you need, you can probably find a usb based solution if it is mission essential. -

pretty much any game that is advanced enough to require a video card with 512 mb of RAM is probably not going to run on the graphics card in the first place. I wouldn't let it be the deciding factor in your purchase.

Whether that's true or not, my point is that the additional 256 mb of RAM isn't going to translate into much real world performance difference at all. The T410 (both regular and s models) is a fantastic laptop, I wouldn't get hung up over the amount of video RAM unless its critical to an application you use. Of course, if graphics are critical to an application that you use then I'd look at the W series anyways.

for 64 bit bus GPU anything more than 128 mb is not going to be much of use. 512 mb is an overkill for these graphics card.

What legacy ports are you looking for?

The regular T410 is showing the 512mb option for the graphics card also now.
