I need to replace my T410 screen. It has an LG screen, LP141wx5 (TL) (P3).

What does the (P3) mean? I can find other screens that are the same except they are (B1) or (C1). I'm hoping to find a decent used one and don't know if I can use these others or if I must have the (P3)

The part in parenthesis is called the model suffix. Different suffixes can mean an entirely different type of screen, you just need to explore the various models and look at their specifications. Sometimes you can find datasheet PDFs that will have detailed specs.

Nah that's garbage, those are just generic replacement screens and their prices are really outrageous. You'd be better off understanding the technical specifications of your panel and then exploring the variants, then going out into the various marketplaces to find a good deal.

I'm finding it very difficult to "understand the technical requirements of my panel and exploring the variants". That's why I posted, so please enlighten me. Even the most similar items have different pin arrangements and such, and I'm definitely not up for conversions.I'm also not up for paying $150-200 for a screen, or buying a used one that's in questionable shape. But there is the matter of time too. My screen developed a "crack from upper right to lower left" and its slowly but steadily spreading darkness from that crack. I figure I might have 2 weeks left, maybe.

Anyway I wasnt in danger of buying from that site because they are all out of stock/discontinued in my exact model. I was only using it as a reference for the differences between similar models

My vote, if you're not up for conversions, is to stick with the proper numbers. My research on the T410 screens (I would like a much better screen myself!) is that there aren't really any other alternatives for us. Going with the exact models, you'll be sure to get a working one.
I do believe (I need to find the quote somewhere) that you can go seamlessly from the 1368x768 to the 1440x900 though. Again, verify this claim as I've never done it.

Might want to pop over to ThinkPads.com and see if anyone has an extra screen they'll sell you.
