After a recent trip I took, I went to start my computer and discovered that my screen was glitching out on the login screen.

I realized something was wrong and forced the computer off by the power button. I then waited a minute and tried to turn it on. The screen turned on, but nothing else. After blowing on the fan and trying again, it started to work again, but with the same screen issues. The computer went through a startup repair process and left me once again at the wacky login screen.

The computer now functions fine, except for the fact that the screen is showing colors incorrectly. The darker colors in particular are showing up as a greenish, but others are distorted as well. Pictures included below.

    Does anyone have a diagnosis?

At anytime does the screen and/or the laptop turn off?

Also does the screen changes when you tap or squeeze the laptop and the screen?

Touching/tapping the screen has no effect and the computer and screen have not turned off spontaneously at all. Ever since the initial time that the computer wouldn't turn on, it has functioned completely normally despite the discoloration.

Is the GPU straight Intel or there's a NVidia at play as well?

There's an NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphics card as well.

Do you have an external monitor you can hook up and test what the output looks like?

I'd uninstall the NVidia driver and check whether the picture clears when the generic one is used...

    Good luck.

I uninstalled the drivers for the NVIDIA card and that did not clear anything up. I also tried adding the newest drivers(only 15 days old) and that also did not help. Additionally, the same color distortion appears when the BIOS comes up.

I do not because I am traveling at the moment. When I share my screen to others though, they do not see it as distorted.

Ah, then it would seem it is a hardware issue. That could mean that the panel itself is giving you issues, or it's just an issue with the connection between the motherboard and the display. To test the latter, if you are comfortable doing so, you could do a full disassembly of the laptop according to the Hardware Maintenance Manual and carefully put it back together. Might be difficult to do so if you do not have access to the necessary tools while you are traveling, though.
