ThinkPad WiFi (BGN)
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 [$0.00]
Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 [add $20.00]
Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 [add $40.00]
Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 [add $55.00]
I've got a T60 with the Atheros "ThinkPad" N card and it works amazingly well. I've recently worked with my dad's Dell E6500 with an Intel WiFi Link 5300 card and had a horrible time getting it to play nicely with Windows 7. Has this been the case with ThinkPads? Problems with Intel wifi cards? I only ask because I noticed the "ThinkPad WiFi (BGN)" option on the new T410 and I was wondering if this was why they're offering it.
If that's not at all the case, which wifi adapter would you guys recommend? Any advantages to the pricier Intel cards?

I'd avoid the Thinkpad card. Doesn't look like it's dual-band.
If it's indeed true it's a rebadged card of this:

Then DEFINITELY get an Intel card. At least the 6200 or 6300. Personally, I'd recommend the 6300, as it's the only one in the lot that can do 3 spatial streams.
For some reason, Intel didn't have Windows 7 immediately when it was launched. They certainly do now, however. -
Hmm. Well thanks for the advice! I guess it was pretty stupid of me to assume the ThinkPad branded card was superior like it was 3+ years ago. Lol
6300 it is then.
