    Hey All

Quick question for you all. I have a t410 with Optiumus. I also have the ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3. My question is can I set up 3 displays...One will be a Dell 30" display with the dell active display port to dvi adaptor plugged into the display port, and then 2 x 24" monitors on the dvi ports on the dock. I think this is possible but just want to confirm.

    Thanks

that kinda sucks..You would think with having 2 dvi and 2 display port that 3 digital outputs would be possible

I think it might have something to do with the limitations of the laptop as well..

    this.

I believe doing a triple display setup the way you are doing requires and AMD GPU that supports Eyefinity regardless of using Eyefinity or not.

You can run 4 monitors from the Optimus equipped Thinkpad (one of them is the internal LCD), the Eyefinity can only do three.

I don't think you can use two DVI and one DisplayPort connector on the dock at the same time. But I haven't tested it.

dvi/displayport combo only supports one output per one set, so if you use a dvi then the displayport right next to it gets disabled. So basically the dock can only support two digital video connection at the same time.

@Halobox, can you use the displayport on the laptop when you have three screens running off the Dock series 3 plus?

Yes, that's how you get to four.
