I have the T410 with the 3100 video card. Will this work well with the Dell 27 inch U2711 2560x1440-pixel resolution monitor?
-
yes..... i use it with my R500, T500 and a broken W500...
-
Doesn't seem to be a problem, unless you intend to game Crysis on that screen
-
Any other opinions?
-
probably will have minor flicking problem like on my x200t
-
-
however I still can not find where to buy them.

I would not get the dell u2711 but rather the soon to be release apple cinema display.
Apple Cinema Display goes to 27 inches, 16:9 aspect ratio -- Engadget
The led back-lit display and the it's thin profile make up for it's glossiness, but that's just my take. -
but the cinema display uses only blue LED not the RGB LED, so the quality is not going to be as good as the WCG CCFL on the U2711.
-
I can believe I am saying this but GO APPLE, give Dell some competition so that they would bring down the price of the U2711
-
While the U2711 are better in term of picture quality, The thickness of the monitor is very unappealing. The difference in picture quality isn't going to be noticeable unless you are doing professional work that need a very good color reproduction. The only reason I am going with an IPS for the even color at any angle. With Apple Cinema Display the LED uses less energy.
Warakawa, how is the anti-glare filter on the U2711, does it make the screen look dirty? -
As the price go down, the quality of the screen is not going to go up either... or they drop the H-IPS all together and move towards e-IPS.....
Currently, only LG is producing H-IPS LCD, so maybe the bottleneck of price reduction lies at the panel supply side and not really at Dell or Apple value adding side. -

That's alot cheaper, when I check the website last night it's around $1100. Is that price because of coupon or a special account.
