I last replaced my T410 keyboard in March.

It is now June...and keys are starting to 'die' again.

I've tried reseating the keyboard, and cleaning the keyboard gaps itself with a computer-vacuum-cleaner-thing.

Before, my Ultranav lost responsivenss, my control/alt/shift keys, all the SysReq/Numlock/Del keys were gone.

    Now, 9, O, L, . , are broken.

Reboots don't do anything. I know I can just give Lenovo a call and they'll send me "another" keyboard...but what's the problem?

What's up with current lenovo quality? I bought the T410 on the pretense I would get the ultimate-business-class laptop. Sure my keyboard doesn't flex and the case is still relatively solid - but what if the keyboard doesn't work!?!?

if your keyboard is constantly having problems, then it could mean there is something wrong with the other parts of the laptop (i.e. motherboard), where it is killing the keyboard's electronics.

I had a friend's T61 that killed 9 keyboards over 12 months, it was finally sent into the depot, and they replaced the motherboard as a final resolution. After the motherboard replacement he no longer had the faulty keyboard problem.

I am not saying that your T410 has this problem, but if your keyboard keeps on dying for no apparent reason, then there could be some issues other than the keyboard.

    Chances are Lead_org is right.

You could of course be very unfortunate and have received keyboards from a lemon production batch.

But otherwise, I have been typing on truckloads of ThinkPad keyboards from the IBM era and after Lenovo took over, and not one keyboard has failed on me thus far (touch on wood).
