Hi, I have a Zoom Mic (which has usb out functionality) and a multieffects guitar pedal (with usb out). On my previous laptop (Gateway something), I would use audacity to record with these, and it'd work great. Now, with my T410s, when I try to record, the thinkpad seems to amplify the input so much that it's pretty much overdriven static when it hits audacity.

I know in audacity, you can turn down the input level; it kind of works. But programs that dont have that feature (skype, etc), I can't use my sound units.

Does anybody notice this problem? Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your time.
