    Do you think it safe for me to order a T410 and get it in my hand before December 30? I am going to travel after that and need to be sure that I get the computer.

    it is hard to say, especially if there are sales and stuffs going on. Also lot of people may purchase laptops before christmas, since lot of people maybe saving up for it for a while.

    How accurate do you think the shipping date is? I friend ordered one yesterday and it said December 29th

    Mine shipped well before the ship date but that was two weeks ago. The orders are probably picking up as it gets closer to Christmas. It also sat in customs for like 3 days so there is that to worry about too. It will probably be very close if you were to order it now.

    i mean shipping dates for Lenovo is not something you can predict with any sort of accuracy. But to expect something to ship on time during the holiday season is not something you should do with great confidence, but others may have different opinions.

    I just bought it a few hours ago and the EST is the 18th. I bought it through the phone and was able to get an extra year of warranty due to me buying it with an American Express Platinum card. The final price was $920 with taxes. Also to note, the rep said that it would be shipped in around 8 days. Don't know if that is accurate but the Lenovo EST is usually very generous and usually ships before the EST.

    I ordered one anyways and the shipping date is estimated to 20th and 2-3 days delivery. I hope the estimation somewhat accurate ...
