I have a T410 whose SLIC table has been erased by a faulty BIOS update provided by Lenovo (see here ). My NBD warranty is about to expire and I want to fix this as it get's really annoying (I am regularly switching hard drives) and it also diminishes the reselling price.

My question is: what do I tell support? Somehow I am skeptical they understand what I am talking about when speaking about erased SLIC tables...

Tell them you updated the BIOS and now it's broke. I don't see what's complicated about it. If it's under warranty, they should fix it.

I agree with ZaZ. Why would you even mention SLIC? I don't advocate fraud, but people tell support way too much. Just stick to the facts.
