My laptop has been switch on for 3 hrs and I can feel my touch pad heating up. The laptop is running on charger (a/c) and its on my desk. The CPU temp is 60 C.

    What could be the issue???

If you're not doing anything CPU intensive, you might want to park the CPU in low power mode, which will help with the heat.
