I have a T410i running on win 7 pro that came with the laptop. I partitioned the c drive. So, now i have 2 drives. When I use the rescue disk, it will delete both the partition and make one drive.

So now I want to clean/fresh install a legal copy of windows 7 with the bare minimum lenovo apps required. Have two partitions and make a rescue disk for my c: drive.

How can I install legal windows 7? I dont have the OS with me, I only have the rescue disk that I created. Can I download a trial win 7 pro trial from the net and use the product key under the battery of the laptop??? Where can get the drivers and required apps???

    Kindly guide me.

Windows 7 update should download most of the drivers for you other than:

    1. Thinkvantage Fingerprint Reader
    2. Monitor driver (otherwise you can't change the brightness with with Fn + Home/End function).
    3. Thinkvantage Protection systems (this allows the laptop to park the hdd's head when it senses out of normal motions).
    4. Hotkey Utilities (so you can use the Fn + F2/F3/F4/Fx functions).
    5. Thinkvantage Power Manager and Drivers for setting various power plans.
    6. Thinkvantage Ultranav
