T410s Shipped today 02/03

...supposedly. I got an email saying so, then checked my status page, which showed that it was still "in process." I called Lenovo and was told that it had, in fact shipped, but I wasn't yet invoiced. After the call my status page updated to show "shipped on 02/03/2010."

The cust. service rep also told me he would send a request to invoice me, and I would get an email with shipping info within a couple of days. Why would I not be shocked if I get invoiced twice, having prompted a special invoicing request with my call.

I will note that my extra power cord was delivered 3 weeks ago, and my CC was charged 2 days before the "shipped on.." appeared on the status page.

Sorry for the minute detail, but I figured there would be interest in an actual T410s shipment. The charger took 6 days from shipment to delivery, so we'll see...

 

i anxiously await your first impressions of the t410s. Did you order one with the switchable graphics or was that not an option when you ordered?

I ordered with integrated graphics.

I should have noted in my first post that my original ship date was 2/17, so it in fact got moved up by two weeks.

I will happily post first impressions, but my computer savvy is rather superficial, so don't expect advanced reporting. I will gladly offer impressions such as "fast!"..."solid feel"..."screen stinks!"

I think I'm most excited to see how the SSD changes the game.
