    Hi guys,

    I am currently playinig around with 2 Thinkpads 410s. One has the discrete graphics and the other doesn't. I noticed that on the one that doesn't have the discrete graphics, I get about 5.5 hrs of battery life on medium power settings and it runs 7/8 Watts running WinXP, but on the laptop with the discrete graphics, I only get about 3 hrs of battery life at 12/14 watt running windows 7.

    Is there anyway for me to improve the battery life of the T410s with the discrete graphics?

    Thanks...

    So what does the screen look like during this interval? Blank/black? :confused:

    @Andrew
    The T410s does have switchable graphics, but I don't think it has Nvidia Optimus as per the video. The screen blanks in and out everytime the gpu switches.

    Nice... But I see the power consumption and I just :eek: !!! I think that anybody who needs an ultraportable with decent graphics performance should better wait a couple of months for the Intel SandyBridge to come out.

    Lenovo website mentions Optimuns. And at the end of the video, the guy says it will be available from October 5 onwards (just a week ago!)- I guess the previous T410s came without the Optimus?
