While at my local Micro Center today I was looking at their collection of ThinkPads. They had a T410s on display and I noticed that it was thinner then my machine.

When I moved the display I could feel the depth of the display panel was much thinner then mine.

I noticed the standard T410s is about 1" and the touchscreen model is about 1.2".

Just thought I would share that as I was unaware if the touchscreen would make the system thicker when I bought it.

On a positive note I think the touchscreen is worth it and the extra depth to the display panel actually makes the machine feel a lot more durable.

Yeah, same case with the W510 multi-/non-multitouch
