It looks like T410s doesn't support mSATA.

I just got a Intel 310 SSD from newegg and tried it on my T410s. And it doesn't work, so I assume T410s doesn't support mSATA device.

My question is that is it possible to make T410s support mSATA by updating BIOS(assuming Lenovo will update it)? Or it have to come with some hardware change? I really need mSATA to get some extra space for my computer.

Did you read somewhere the T410s supported mSATA?

I don't think a BIOS upgrade is all that's required to make it work.

If space is the reason you want a msata, then wouldn't just getting a bigger hdd be cheaper and easier?

^^^ But make sure it's 1.8" HDD. And how much bigger can you go with such form factor? T410 s, you know! The "s" is crazy.

I already have an 80G ssd in the hdd bay and I don't want replace it. I also use an ultrabay battery, so that mini pcie is all I have left.

I didn't find anything online about whether or not T410s support mSATA, and also since I am not paying for that intel 310 ssd, it worth a try :D
