i got my new T42 on friday last week. Had to restore to factory settings since system was not properly installed but ok now.
I have a really serious problem with Flexview display. After a few minutes of working i got hand-shaking and feeling dizzy around the stomach (like if under terrible stress). Very frustrating. Tried to adjust brightness - font size (in fact the larger fonts the worst :( did not help. Does anybody has a similar experinece ?? Or any advice ? It its a really GREAT compurer - excelent keyboard - exreemly fast and silent.

Before i worked on Acer notebook - or on my Sony G220 CRT at home many hours a day and no problem.

    Please help ..

windows did not work fine. Froze every 10 miutes. Could not even set destop wallper. MS office (Outlook especially) allways frozen.
I used access IBM and restore to the factory settings. after doing this all was ok.

What kind of resolution is in there? I mean, could you try to run at 10x7 and see if that solves your reading problem? I use it at that or 12x10 all the time and SXGA only quickly when I REALLY need it.

Yeah, by the way, set it to normal font, DON'T use ClearType (I mean EVER if you wish to stay calm:O)

I use 1400x1050 fonts 108% all perfectly readeable. Once i change resolution all is misty - not clear. I think the problem maz be either with the type of diyplay (flexview is diferent from most of LCD s) or with the extreemly high contrast. I ll try to adjust tommorow and we ll see. Really unhappy about it - i just love this thing - working perfectly fine - all silet cool - fast like hell. Just this ****ed display issue :(
