    T42 Screen Upgrade

    Not to be confused with my other threads on my 15" T42p--this thread is about my 14" T42.

    I have a 14" T42 with an XGA display. It has the Radeon 9600 graphics chip in it, though, which I've read will drive a 1400x1050 display just fine. I found a T43 14" 1400x1050 display advertised for about $60 (entire assembly with hinges and cables). Would that work fine on the T42?

    I can confirm that the MR9600 will drive that panel; I had a T42 with the same configuration. Worked just fine.
